If you've been following along with this blog, you've probably seen posts from time to time about some of the interesting things small business owners are up to, as well as small business success stories. Running a business gives owners the potential to be creative and and innovative. When creating a new venture, incorporating your business is an important step and an online incorporation services company can answer any questions you have.

The News-Press recently reported on the story of two small business owners whose enterprises complement each other. The couple, Lisa and Will Olds, own two businesses that work together — a boat tour business, and a Trading Post that goes along with it.

The boat tours take visitors around Charlotte Harbor in Florida, while the trading post features deli sandwiches, baked goods and a grocery section. This allows the couple to attract customers who are there for the boat tours.

"We think in terms of what would be a good, synergistic business," Lisa Olds told the News-Press. "The Trading Post gave the boat tour an onshore office and presence."

The couple further explained that they decided to combine their businesses because they thought that they would do better working together than apart. Additionally, it was noted that the tourism season affects the business, as it is necessary to plan for more activity during the height of the tourism season.

By playing to the strengths of their respective businesses, these small business owners were able to create an innovative solution to turn their venture into a success. If you are looking to start a business, contact us to learn more about how we can assist with incorporation.
